Apress to Participate in Panel at SXSW 2020

“Modern Librarians: Superheroes of the Tech World”

In partnership with Springer Nature, Apress is participating in a panel at this year’s SXSW conference in Austin, Texas.

Chosen by SXSW from a competitive process with thousands of entries, the panel is named Modern Librarians: Superheroes of the Tech World and takes place on March 17^th, 2020 at the Hilton Austin Downtown, Salon B. It will run from 5-6PM and will explore how corporate and university librarians are bringing unspoken value to tech companies by structuring data, making it discoverable, and applying it through the workflow leading to increased innovation and revenue.

Speakers on the panel include: Susan McDermott (Apress), Kristen Wallerius (Springer Nature), Megan Gawlik (Disney), and Brendan Thompson (Facebook). To attend while at SXSW 2020, primary entry will go to Platinum Badge holders and Interactive Badge holders, while secondary entry will go to Music Badge holders and Film Badge holders.
